Benedikt Leitgeb is a PhD student at the University of Salzburg. His research interests include general philosophy of science and social and formal epistemology. For his PhD project, he is examining the work of immunisation advisory committees in order to improve our understanding of how groups of experts can effectively provide scientific policy advice and determine whether differences in organisational structure impact the quality and trustworthiness of the advice they produce.
